Hazard Risk Category 2

Last week we took a look at the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a Hazard Risk Category 1. To review, click here. To remain safe when the Hazard Risk Category is 2, employees must wear:

•Arc-rated long-sleeve shirt, minimum 8 cal/cm 2

•Arc-rated long pants, minimum 8 cal/cm 2

•Arc-rated face shield or hood, minimum 8 cal/cm 2

•Balaclava sock hood

•Hard hat

•Safety glasses

•Hearing protection

•Leather gloves

•Leather work shoes

Here is an example of an employee properly dressed for a Hazard Risk Category 2:
